 — Vienna Irish Studies & Cultural Theory Summer School: "The Stage Irishman"

An ECTS-accredited week of lectures and seminars with renowned Irish studies and theory scholars at the Vienna Centre for Irish Studies! This year's theme of 'Stage Irish' offers students the opportunity to develop and deepen their knowledges and skills in the theorisation and analysis of the interplay between identity, performance, and spectatorship in literature, drama, music, film and popular culture in the Irish tradition. Together, we will explore the tensions staged between cultural production and negotiated reception, 'self'-expression and stereotyping, innovation and cliché in the formation (or rejection) of cultural, communal, or national identity.

2019 — Werner Huber Memorial Conference (together with EFACIS)
