Eugenie is a student at the University of Vienna, majoring in English and Spanish. She is currently working on her diploma thesis, which analyzes the novels by Bret Easton Ellis in the light of the Marquis de Sade’s work. Her research interests include intertextuality, historiographic metafiction, Postmodernism, and grotesque realism as defined by Bakhtin.
