New Possibilities in English Language Education: Intersections of Multilingualism and Social Justice

on Monday, 6 October, at 14:00  in SR 3 of our Department

 

Elizabeth J. Erling (Beth) is Elise-Richter Senior Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Vienna and the principal investigator of the Udele project, which seeks to understand how established disparities in English language learning at linguistically diverse, urban middle schools are created and sustained (https://udele2023.univie.ac.at/). She is also Professor of English Language Education at the University of Education Upper Austria (PH Oberösterreich). The focus of her research is at the intersection of English language education, multilingual education and social justice. She has worked as an educational researcher and teacher educator in Austria, Bangladesh, Germany, Ghana, India and the UK.
