Spoken word poet Ty’rone Haughton will visit the VK Poetry Off the Page (Julia Lajta-Novak) on 26 May to perform some of his poetry, answer the students’ questions, and engage them in creative activities.
Ty'rone (ti-rone) Haughton is a Jamaican born, Leicester based poet, freelance practitioner, advocate and former looked after child. Ty'rone's poetry focuses on social observations, identity and vulnerabilities. Ty’rone’s writing is distinct, it is gentle yet brutal in approach. Ty’rone uses meticulous lyricism and storytelling to invite his audience in before punching them in the throat.
