Project overview:
Bringing together perspectives from the environmental humanities, citizen science, and visual culture studies, “Citizen Science for Environmental Awareness in Vienna,” led by Tatiana Konrad, explores representations and perceptions of pollution. Together with residents of Vienna, the project examines how environmental pollution can be recognized visually and, through this collaboration, generates new environmental knowledge. The project’s transdisciplinary nature makes it an important contribution to ongoing research in the environmental humanities and citizen science.
