New Perspectives on Irish English 6

Wednesday 19th – Friday 21st February 2020

Centre for Irish Studies

Department of English and American Studies, University of Vienna

Continuing the symposium series which has been held in Dublin (2010, 2013), Limerick (2015), Bergen (2016), and Potsdam (2018), the sixth symposium on New Perspectives on Irish English will be held at the University of Vienna from 19–21 February 2020.

NPIE6 is being co-organised by John Kirk in collaboration with the Centre for Irish Studies (Director: Dr Dieter Fuchs) and a small, peer-reviewing programme committee. The venue will be the Institut für Anglistik und Amerikanistik, Universität Wien (Hof 8.3, AAKH Campus). Enquiries should be sent to John at his email address below.

It is envisaged that the programme will be in single, plenary sessions throughout. There will be a talk on 'Ireland and Vienna' by Dieter Fuchs, who will also lead a short walking tour to places of Irish interest in the centre of Vienna.

The deadline for submitting abstracts has now passed, although some late submission may yet be acceptable. After peer-review, details of acceptance will be announced soon.
