EduLing - Educational Linguistics Research Group

The EduLing Research Group

As researchers and practitioners in various educational linguistic subfields, we aim to learn from each other at regular meetings. There, we present our ongoing research and benefit from each others' ideas, but also from those of interested colleagues who are welcome to join us. Furthermore, we read on and discuss topical issues, such as 'competence' or 'teaching and learning materials'.

The EduLing Group also functions as the editorial board of CELT Matters.

Educational Linguistics

Educational linguistics takes an interest in issues where knowledge about language and linguistics is relevant to current debates in education. Examples of such issues are language learning and multilingualism, language in the classroom, literacy, learner language, language assessment, or language policy. Educational linguistics is problem-oriented in its focus: theory, research, policy and practice interrelate.
